The MISCA Dream Team was established in 2008 in an effort to recognize the most outstanding athletes across all 3 divisional state meets. Athletes will be awarded on an annual basis using the criteria listed below. MISCA will compile the information and work with local/state news publications to recognize and honor these athletes for their outstanding achievement.

Criteria:

1. Only state meet performances will be used
2. The NISCA power point system will be used to determine team
   selection in each event.
3. An athlete may only be selected to the team for one individual
   event.
4. In the event an athlete has the highest power point total in two
   events, the event that they will receive "Dream Team" honors will be
   based upon the NISCA power point ranking for the swimmer with the next
   highest NISCA power point ranking.
5. Relays will be chosen using the same system with the exception
   that the same team MAY in fact be chosen for multiple relays and
   athletes chosen in an individual event MAY also be on 1 or more "Dream
   Team" relays.
6. In diving, the diver with the highest point total from the state
   meet will be the "Dream Team Diver"
